Calgary, Alberta, August 13, 2018: The MNC team is pleased to congratulate Heather Campbell, MNC GIS Technician, on completing Esri’s Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) program.

This six-week course, which millions of adult learners around the world use to keep up with the fast-paced developments in the ArcGIS platform, is packed full of practical, contemporary map-making tips and strategies from experienced cartographers.

Heather really enjoyed the courses related to historical and modern cartographers and was intrigued by how their work has set the standards for much of modern mapmaking. She also felt that various cartographic principles and techniques were broken down and explained very well.

“I found this course to be incredibly valuable not only because I believe it helped me become a smarter mapmaker, but also because it gave me exposure to working with ArcGIS Pro for the first time,” says Heather. “All in all, I would highly recommend this course to anyone with a love of mapmaking looking to either enhance or refresh their cartographic skills!”
