As Canada’s leading cadastral mapping company, we aim to demonstrate leadership in all areas important to us – including the environment. MNC believes in maintaining a strong social responsibility and promoting an environmentally friendly and positive lifestyle.

Solar Panels

Our Calgary office is equipped with an 80-foot-long (24 m) rooftop solar panel system, which reduces our CO2 emissions by 6.2 tonnes/year, while also generating 6775 kwh/year of green electricity. This amount is equal to the power consumed by our primary data and processing servers.

Energy Conservation

We are passionate about environmental sustainability and remain committed to energy conservation where possible. As part of this commitment, we have adopted smarter energy-use practices and technologies. We have renovated our office premises and facilities to be extremely energy efficient in all areas. This renovation included the use of highly efficient heating/cooling systems, upgraded insulation, energy efficient lighting fixtures and exterior glass curtain walls.

Recycling & Waste Reduction

We have also implemented a rigorous recycling program for paper products, plastics, glass and ink cartridges. In 2010, we installed a staff water filtration system which eliminated the consumption of approximately 13,000 bottles per year.

Healthy Lifestyles & Work-Life Balance

We are also dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles amongst our staff. We host and provide our staff with a variety of different educational and physical fitness programs:

  • Stainless steel water bottles and filtered water dispensers.
  • Lunch and learn sessions to promote work-life balance.
  • Fresh fruit is available at all times for staff
